Words are magical, mysterious and myriad, as quixotic as the human mind, and have always enthralled me to toy with them, tease them and befriend them.
These personal poems are expressions of my many moods, feelings and fears that both, life and its intriguing experiences, have accorded to me. While, they do not refer to any one person in particular, they do convey my emotions and outlook towards the universal theme of Love, Longing, Loss and Betrayal. I have dabbled in forms, adapted some proverbs and coined some phrases to capture the many hues of these intricate emotions.
Nazm-e-aasha is my foray into a genre and language that I have often admired, but have little mastery in. Nevertheless, once the creation is put out, the creator can no longer be the sole proprietor! Encouraged by accolades for Nazm-e-aasha I have now introduced: Kashish and Kashmakash. Another volume, yet another offering, another view, another experience of Love, Longing, Loss and Betrayal. So, for all my fast friends and lovers of solitude, this is my new volume of verses that I hope to add on to.
What is poetry if it does not capture the context, culture, climes and politics that we inhabit in? In keeping with this thought, I have attempted to pen a few lines in verse that pique these facets of life and living.
