The Studs Sports Bar& Grill, Juhu, Mumbai

***** RATED

Some of the good things in life come when you least expect it... we walked in to The Studs on a Friday evening with a similar air of least expectation. Located in Juhu at a stone's throw away from Novotel and being a corner-housed property, The Studs is easy to spot. The entry upto the sports bar is less than flattering and the lift leading to it could do with better maintenance.

However, the staff and the ambience, once inside Studs is very inviting, spacious and welcoming. The large, wide couches at the corners for larger groups, interspersed with tables, is well laid out. The lighting is mellow, but bright enough to read the food and bar menu clearly.

Among the cocktails, Grape Mojito ( we opted for the vodka base) as well as the French Martini strike the gold. They are worthy of the time and price though I would recommend they start using Absolut or Grey Goose instead of Smirnoff. The best part of the food is certainly the array of appetiszers on offer. The place boasts of a huge range for both, vegetarians and non vegetarians. From the Nachos and Jalapeno Poppers to  Chicken Sheesh Touk and the Teriyaki Chicken we found it hard to pick our favourite. All the 4 appetizers were equally delectable.

In the main course, the rather distinct Diavola Con Pollo thin crust Pizza was truly enticing in appearance and taste as was the Fetuccini Primevara pasta. A high point of this eatery is that the dishes despite being a gourmet's delight, is moderately prized!!

The staff are upbeat, helpful with suggestions, and are attentive. They just need more help at the bar I suppose as the drinks take their own sweet time to make an appearance, but the quantity served coaxed us to overlook the delay. Music, like the ambience was engaging, they were playing BeGees and BoneyM on a Bollywood Night (as was  notified outside the bar) much to my friends ' dismay, but then again, to err is human.
Definitely a must visit place, the food is very delectable and a special round of applause for the chef on that.
